Tips and tricks for making money with GPT sites

If you are not yet familiar with the term, GPT stands for Get Paid To. So, GPT websites are the ones that pay you for completing various tasks online.

Those tasks vary from site to site, but they generally do not take much time to complete, and so the pay per task on a GPT site is usually quite low. In other words, don’t expect to make a living on GPT websites only.

Swagbucks, Gift Hunter Club (read my full review here), and iRazoo are all examples of GPT sites.

Examples of the tasks that GPT websites offer include completing online surveys, sign-ups, mobile apps downloads, playing games, completing quizzes, and many, many more.

Where do GPT websites get money to pay their users?

Most GPT websites partner with companies known as offer walls to provide their users with a steady flow of tasks. If you have ever been a member of a GPT site, you are probably familiar with such names as OfferToro, AdGate Rewards, AdGem, and Adscend Media. Well, those are all examples of offer walls.

Offer wall is a company that, in its turn, cooperates with companies or individual developers/website owners who wish to promote their products or services.

Let’s say you developed a mobile game, Pigs Enraged. 🙂 You need to promote your game, and to attract as many players as you can. 

To achieve that, you can contact some offer wall, and agree to pay them, for example, $1 for each player they get you.

The offer wall would then make your game available at partner GPT websites, and pay them $0.8 for every player they attract.

And GPT website would pay each user $0.6 for downloading and playing the game.

All you have to do is wait for GPT sites’ users to start downloading your game and playing it.

I oversimplified the scheme and made up the numbers, but this was to give you an idea of what offer wall is, and how GPT websites work.

Many GPT websites partner with the same offer walls and hence have the same offers for you to complete. BUT the pay rate for the same task may differ from one GPT site to another.

So here comes…

Tip #1

To maximize your earnings, you might want to sign up with several GPT websites and choose whichever one offers the best rates for you.

General rules for working with GPT sites

Every GPT site has its own set of rules, and I strongly recommend you to follow them to keep your account and your earnings with that website safe. 

But if you are lazy to read all those terms & conditions, make sure to at least follow the general rules that apply to most GPT websites. There are three of them:

1. Don’t use VPN when accessing GPT websites.
2. Don’t complete the same offer on several GPT sites.
3. Don’t register multiple accounts with a single GPT website.

To make sure you’ll get paid for the offers you complete I would also recommend you to do the following:

1. Enable cookies and disable adblockers when you complete offers.
2. Do not switch between networks when you complete an offer. What I mean by switching networks is, for example, starting the offer when connected to your WiFi network at home, and finishing it via your phone’s mobile data.

If you don’t do that, you might still get paid for some offers, but it’s not guaranteed. Following these two recommendations is supposed to make it easier for the offer walls to track your performance with a particular offer.

Tips and tricks for solving quizzes on GPT websites

So, what’s up with completing quizzes for money?

To get your reward, you would need to score 100%. That means you would need to answer ALL quiz questions correctly. Trust me, it is not easy, unless you have Wikipedia instead of your brain, so you will most probably do A LOT of Googling to score 100%. The amount of time you will spend researching depends on the number of questions and on how difficult the quiz is. I once spent an hour trying to score 100% with a Roblox quiz (I never played it, so I had to do my research; I don’t give up easily, haha). 

But even if you do Google and research every question to find the correct answer, you might still end up getting a score lower than 100%. It might happen if some questions are trickier than they seem, or if there is a mistake in the quiz, and a valid answer is considered wrong.

Imagine completing a 40-question quiz with a score of 98% after an hour of Googling. Frustrating? It surely is! 

But what if you do score 100%? Congratulations, you will get your hard-earned reward (which will, most probably, be around 50 cents or less)! 

Is trading hours of your precious time for pennies worth it?

Tip #2

As I mentioned above, you can Google every quiz question to find the correct answer, but this might be very time-consuming. 

Another option is to go straight to either QuizSOS or MyNeobuxPortal. These websites have answers to many quizzes, and if some quiz’ answers are not there, you can ask websites’ owners to add them by sending them the link to the quiz you need answers for. They usually upload answers within a few days after you submit the link.

Tip #3

Some quizzes have a ‘Finish quiz’/‘Complete quiz’ button on their final pages, so don’t forget to press that button to get credited for quiz completion.

Tip #4

Most quizzes have a ‘Share on Facebook’ button on the last page. You don’t need to actually share your results, unless the task explicitly asks you to (this is quite rare, though); you just need to press that button. 

Tip #5

Always take a screenshot of the quiz results page if you score 100%. 

Why?

If you scored 100%, but still didn’t get credited for quiz completion, wait for 24 hours and then contact support with a screenshot of the results page showing the URL of the page and your score (has to be 100%!).

A few words on completing surveys 

Virtually every GPT website offers its users to complete paid surveys. There are some rules specific to completing surveys online that you would want to follow to not get banned from a survey wall or even from a GPT site. 

1. Be honest. Survey panels usually monitor respondents’ answers, so if you lie, you will most probably forget your responses one day. Let’s say you answered that you never smoked a cigarette in your life to the question ’Do you smoke cigarettes?’. And then in another survey you answer that you smoke Parliament cigarettes to the question ’What brand of cigarettes do you smoke?’. If you often have discrepancies like that, your survey panel account might get suspended and eventually banned. So I’d recommend you to be honest, as this way you won’t have to memorize your ’legend.’
2. Pay attention. Some surveys include test questions to check you are paying attention. One example of a test question is your birthday. Let’s say you indicated that you were born on October 25, 1991. A few questions later, the survey asks you to confirm your birthday, but changes the date. If you are not paying attention, you will most probably proceed to the next question without correcting the birthdate. And if you do that, you might be either disqualified from the survey, or receive a suspension flag from this particular survey panel that might result in a ban.
3. This one is more of a recommendation than a rule. Make sure to check the survey’s pay/time ratio before you start completing it. Some surveys pay so low that it’s just not worth it even starting them. Couple that with the possibility to get disqualified in the middle of the survey, and you’ll get wasted time for nothing. Value your time, and only look for higher-paying surveys.
